Shoot 10 - Work Record
Date of Shoot -
1st April 2016
Plans for the shoot -
My plan for the shoot was to capture images which had a fun feel to them and depicted children playing in the form of them jumping on a trampoline and swinging on a swing. My plan was to use my sister and her friend as my subjects . I also planned to experiment with continuous shooting as well as long exposure during the shoot in order to potentially create some even more interesting images as my final outcomes.

What I hoped to achieve -
I planned to achieve a successful shoot with some interesting and fun outcomes. I also hoped to experiment with the continuous shooting as well as the long exposure technique. In addition to this, I hoped to further experiment with photoshop to create some layered images to give the same effect as the long exposure but using a set number of normal images taken using a continuous shot.

What I actually achieved -
I achieved another successful shoot with some interesting outcomes. I also achieved my goal of experimenting with the continuous shot and using this, I managed to create three successful final outcomes. I also created some interesting images using the long exposure and like the slightly ghostly and uneasy feel which they create within the images. Overall I am very pleased with the final outcomes and the shoot in general and feel that it went very well. Below shows two images from the shoot.
What I plan to do next (progression) -
After my 10th shooting session, I plan to start to refine my ideas in preparation for the exam. I hope to combine multiple ideas of mine which I have shown and developed throughout the unit. From all of my ideas, I especially like the use of the long exposure in order to show what goes on during a set period of time and feel that this is an effective way of showing the passing of time. However, I also like the idea of the continuous shooting as this gives a sharper final outcome. In addition to this, I like the idea of the clocks which I experimented with in my very early shoot 2. I will perhaps look into combining two of my favourite ideas in order to include multiple aspects of the development in my final exam outcomes. However, as I review my blog, these ideas for the final exam may change or alter.

I really like all the images which I created and took during the shoot, but I think that this may be my favourite out of all of them. It is more subtle than some of my other final outcomes but I feel it is successful in depicting and conveying the fun and lighthearted feeling which I was going for with this shoot. The image was created using Photoshop by two images which I captured using continuous shooting. I like the vibrancy of the colours in the image and feel that they work well in order to give an eye-catching and striking feel to the photograph.

Although this image was still quite successful, I feel that this was one of the weaker photographs from shoot 10. This is because it lacks interest and the long exposure technique is not so obvious like it is in other images. Also, I feel that the framing is not completely right and feel that to be more effective, the trampoline needed to be more central in the frame. Finally, I think that the movement is too simple which therefore results in the image becoming not interesting.
