Shoot 1 - Work Record
What I plan to do next (progression) -
In my next shoot, I plan to explore another simple aspect of time which is clocks. Although simple, I hope to be able to create a similar photostrip which will hopefully show the passing of time in an alternative way. I like this idea and think that it would also be interesting to explore Photoshop more when editing the following shoot and looking to use the black and white filters to create a more dramatic effect and also a look which is more similar to that of Eadweard Muybridge.
Date of Shoot -
8th - 26th March 2016

Plans for the shoot -
I plan to take a photograph of a bunch of flowers everyday until they die. This will show a simple exploration of the passing of time by showing the flowers when they are buds until when they are dead and wilted. I do not know how long this process will take but plan to combine the multiple images together using photoshop. For this, I will use both Eadweard Muybridge and maybe Richard Silver as inspiration for this editing process.

What I hoped to achieve -
I hope to achieve images which clearly show a simplistic exploration of the passing of time by showing the flowers when they are young to the point when they are dead. I hope to achieve some successfully edited images which combines multiple images into one, which will therefore help to present the changes which have taken place due to time passing.
What I actually achieved -
I achieved a successful first shoot which clearly showed my topic of 'the passing of time'. I like the outcome and am especially pleased with the final edit which combines all my 5 straight images. I created this on photoshop and feel that it somewhat included the style of Eadweard Muybridge in the form of it being a sort of photo-strip. Below shows two images from by shoot.

This is my favourite outcome from the shoot. I like the image as it combines all of my chosen 5 images so that the audience is clearly able to follow the flowers life cycle. I like the fact that all the images are bright and bold and then the last two are slightly darker, as this helps to show the passing of time and also portrays death well.
Out of my final 5 images showing the stages of life, this is my least favourite. This is because the image is not as sharply focused as the other images and the colours are slightly more dull, although still not dark. I do not feel that this image was unsuccessful as it plays a role in showing the different stages, but I also do not feel that this is the most attractive and eye-catching image out of all of them.
