Shoot 6 - Work Record
Date of Shoot -
17th March 2016

Plans for the shoot -
I plan to do a shoot which is similar to shoot 5 but this time, I will use two people to give a more complex and less simple effect in my images. I also feel I may be able to show more complicated and interesting movements if I were to use more people. I will use a coloured background like I did before as I feel that this looked very effective and interesting. I would also like to explore a more ghostly effect in this shoot by using a figure wearing white or black and also by experimenting with the black background in the studio.

What I hoped to achieve -
I hoped to achieve a look similar to I did in my last shoot although I hoped that this shoot would be a more perfected version of the one before. I hope that this will be more effective and also look interesting to the audience. I hope to achieve a style which combines the work of Jesus Chapa-Malacara and Kang Seon Jun. In addition, I hope to achieve the same effective editing which I did last time for my final straight images.

What I actually achieved -
My photoshoot went quite well and I was able to capture some successful images. Some of the work with the two figures did not work as well as I had hoped whereas others were very successful. I was able to capture some interesting images when I combined the figure wearing white with the black background as this assisted to convey a ghostly feel to the images. In many of my images, I had multiple versions of the same person rather than a set movement as I thought this looked effective and was also thought provoking as it helped to show some emotion and suggested loneliness. Below shows two images from my shoot.
What I plan to do next (progression) -
Progressing on from this idea, I hope to carry out my next shoot following a similar route. I think that looking at movement involving ribbons would create a very interesting effect due to the colours which would be present within the ribbon. I think this would need to be done in the studio and would look most effective using either the black or white background with the subject also wearing either black or white clothing so that the eye is drawn to the colours of the ribbon rather than anything else. I would still use long exposure with this as I think that the blurs of colour caused by the ribbons would look very effective, especially if there were multiple colours of ribbons and if they were very vibrantly coloured. This idea could also be thought to link to my previous shoots which involved light trails.

This image is one of my favourites from the shoot. I like the vibrancy of the colours against the black background. I used an 8 second shutter speed to capture this image and I like the way that the image shows lots of versions of the figures which was created by the use of long exposure. I also like how this image has a slightly ghostly effect by the use of the black background. I also like how the image hows two figures as this is a slightly different perspective than my last shoot.
This image looks less effective and it one of my least favourite images. Although the long exposure technique did work and you are able to see the movements which have occurred during a set period of time, the image is quite dull and the movement has not created a very interesting effect. In addition to this, I feel that the image is very similar to the ones which I shot last session which was not the look I was hoping for with this shoot.
