Shoot 4 - Straight Images

Shoot 4 - Straight Images

This image was taken using a 6 second shutter speed. I like the way that the image has turned out and think this could be my favourite image. I also like how the sky has an orange tint to it as this makes the image more interesting.

In this image, I like how you can clearly see the space between the two sides of traffic. I edited this image simply by adapting the curves to make the image brighter but also have more of a contrast between light and dark.

I took this image using a 2.5 second shutter speed. I like the way that the light trails are not continuous as this makes it a bit different from my other images. I edited this using photoshop by simply adapting the curves which helped to make the light trails bolder and the background darker which therefore made the image more striking.

I took this image by focusing my shot onto one side of the motorway. I took this as cars were about to go under the bridge. For this, I used a 3 second shutter speed. I am pleased with the outcome of the image as it looks quite effective. I also think that the fact that you are able to see the road lines allows the image to clearly show what is going on.

This image was taken by my camera being on aperture priority mode with my shutter speed at approximately 3 seconds. I like the outcome but it was difficult to achieve and took multiple attempts. My inspiration for creating this image came from an image I found on the internet and although my image is not identical, it shows the same idea. I edited the image on photoshop and made the figure lighter and the railings darker to make the image more successful.

After I had done my motorway shots, I got someone to make shapes with a torch and used the long exposure technique to capture the movements. I like the outcome of this image and especially like how you are also able to see the trails of light on the floor. I also think it is effective as you can see the light trails but not the person responsible for them which helps to add an element of mystery to the image. For this, my shutter speed was 2.5 seconds.

I like this image as it looks quite mysterious due to the fact that you can't see the person behind the torch and also due to the sky being slightly orange and being blocked out by the tree's branches. This helps to give the image a slightly supernatural feel and also makes the light trail seem slightly mysterious.
